Amvrakikos is a municipality in the prefecture of Arta, Greece. The population of Amvrakikos was 4,742 as of 2001. The seat of the municipality is in Aneza. Greece is a country in southeastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east of mainland Greece while the Ionian Sea lies to the west. Both parts of the eastern Mediterranean basin, feature a vast number of islands.

Greece has a capitalist mixed economy. The nation's main economic activity is primarily based on the tourism, shipping, banking and finance and construction sectors while the country serves as the regional business hub for many of the world's largest multinational companies. Greece enjoys a high standard of living, ranking 24th on the 2006 Human Development Index and 22nd on the Economist's 2005 worldwide quality-of-life index and it have an average per capita income that has been estimated at 23,518 dollars for the year 2006. Due to its many historic events and places it has been one of the favorite destinations of visitors.
