Apollonas

Apollonas is a municipality in Arcadia, Greece. Its total population is 2,116 was estimated in 2001. The seat of the municipality is in Tyros. Arcadia is a region of Greece in the Peloponnesus. It takes its name from the mythological character Arcas. Former Ottoman Province of Greece, officially the Hellenic Republic, is a country in south-eastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east.
