Eksjo

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea.

Eksjo is an exclusive tourist destination located in Europe. It is a municipality located in the Jonkoping County, to the south of Sweden. Eksjo stretches over a total land area of 803 square kilometers with a total population of 16,571 inhabitants and a population density of 21 inhabitants per square kilometer as per the 2005 census.

The city of Eksjo most likely appeared in the medieval ages when it was the center for the thing, a regional council. The earliest received documentary revealing the existence of this city is from the 14th century. It was given its charter in the early 15th century by Erik av Pommern. In the 16th century it was amongst the six Swedish cities in the historical province of Smaland, together with Jonkoping, Kalmar, Vimmerby, Vastervik and Vaxjo.

Eksjo boasts many traces of its colonial past and enjoys peaceful lifestyle sheltered from the accelerated pace of the large cities. Even though Eksjo meant the partial loss of its tourist profile due to urbanization, some features of its past times of splendor still remain, with hotels and hostelries that are swarmed by thousands of visitors each year.
