Falkoping

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Falkoping Municipality is located in Vastra Gotaland County, in western Sweden where the town of Falkoping is the seat with about 15,000 inhabitants. The city of Falkoping most likely emerged during the 15th century but earlier the town was an important site of pilgrimage due to its 12th century church dedicated to Saint Olaf. In 2005, the population of the city was 31,148 and an area of 1,056 square kilometers. The city has never been a major industrial town and has existed as a mere service centre for the surrounding rural landscape, known as Falbygden.

A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Falkoping is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
