Jokkmokk

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Jokkmokk is a Swedish municipality in northern Sweden where the town Jokkmokk is seat with 3,200 inhabitants. The name is Sami language for the words river and creek, because the town is situated in a river creek. It has area of 17,735 square kilometers with population of 5,599 and density 0.3 per square kilometers.

It is situated in the Scandinavian mountain range in the Swedish Lapland and is sparsely populated. A large part of the area has been the habitat of reindeer herding Sami people for thousands of years and has for that reason been protected as a World Heritage Site, under the name Laponian area.

Jokkmokk, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origin back to prehistoric times.
