Gastouni

Gastouni is a town and a municipality in northern Elis, Greece. The distance is 10 kilometers south of Lechaina, 16 kilometers from Kyllini Baths, 28 kilometers from Pyrgos, 12 kilometers North West of Amalias and 70 kilometers South West of Patras. Its population is 7,524 and is the prefectures' third largest community which includes towns and cities as well as the metropolitan area of Pyrgos. The town has about 600 m to 800 m of one-way streets.
 
A Byzantine church of the Panagia Katholiki is two-columned and built in the 12th century. Gastouni has a church, kindergarten schools, schools, lyceums, gymnasia, a town square, a market town, and a train station next to the divided road to the dam. Forests are founded in the northeast, and 2 kilometers southeast while mixed farming surrounds Gastouni except to the south.
