Lagos, Portugal

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
Lagos is one of the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destinations that is located in Europe. Lagos is a city and a municipality at the mouth of the river Bensafrim in the southern region of Algarve, in Portugal. The municipality has a total population of 27,041 inhabitants. The majority of the population lives along the coastal line and works in tourism and services. The inland region is sparsely inhabited, with the majority of the people working in agriculture and forestry.
Lagos is located approximately 35 kilometers east of the southwestern most point of Europe, the locality of Sagres point. To the north of Lagos stands the road to Milfontes and Sines that winds through the scenic protected landscape of the Southwest natural  park. Its area is 212.8 square kilometers with of population 27,041 and density of 127 per square kilometers.

Lagos has grown from a small Yoruba settlement, and undergone periods of domination by two European powers, to become the commercial and population center of Nigeria. It is also the former capital city of Nigeria. It has since been replaced by Abuja. Abuja city officially gained its status as the capital city of Nigeria on 12 December 1991, although Lagos was stripped of this title much earlier, it acted as de facto capital until around 1991.

Lagos, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited places. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origin back to prehistoric times.
