Pialeia is a municipality in the Trikala Prefecture, Greece. According to the 2001 census, population was 3,813. The seat of the municipality is in Fiki. Trikala is a prefecture in northwestern Thessaly, Greece. Its capital is the city of Trikala. It contains Kalampaka, and Meteora with monasteries above the rocky ledges. It is located north west of Athens, north west of Karditsa, east of Ioannina and Metsovo, south of Grevena, south west of Thessaloniki and west of Larissa.

Greece is a country in south-eastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east of mainland Greece, while the Ionian Sea lies to the west. Both parts of the eastern Mediterranean basin, feature a vast number of islands.
