Pistiana is a small settlement which belongs to the village of Alevrada, located in the northwest part of the prefecture Aetolia and Acarnania, Greece. Alevrada is a small village of Greece located in the North West part of the prefecture named Aetolia and Acarnania near the dam of the river Achelous and the artificial lake Kremasta.

Aetolia-Acarnania, is one of the prefectures of Greece. It is located in the western part of Greece. The prefecture is a combination of the regions Aetolia and Acarnania. Its capital for historical reasons is Mesolongi and its biggest city and economical centre is Agrinion.

Greece is a country in south-eastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east.
