Stromstad

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Stromstad is a Swedish municipality in Vastra Gotaland County, in western Sweden. Its seat is in Stromstad. Vastra Gotaland County or Vastra Gotalands lan is a County or lan on the western coast of Sweden. Its core is the historical province of Vastergotland, but it also includes the historical provinces of Dalsland and Bohuslän. The Kingdom of Sweden is a Nordic country in Scandinavia. The country has large natural resources of water, timber and iron ore. Its citizens enjoy a high standard of living in a country that is generally perceived as modern and liberal. The total area is 472 square kilometers, population is of 11,373 inhabitants and population density of 24 square kilometers.

Originally, the province Bohuslan, where Stromstad is situated, belonged to Norway until 1658, when Sweden took it through warfare. At Stromstad, there was a small fishing village known as Strömmen. The town got small privileges as a merchant town shortly thereafter, which seems to have made it expand, because it is documented to have gotten a charter in 1676 by King Charles IX of Sweden, yet some documents show it was considered a city in 1672. As it was the seat for a merchant navy, the coat of arms was designed with such a ship and has remained that way even after the sailing ships navy was discontinued in the 19th century. The city became the seat for Sweden's warfare and more than once it was conquered and reconquered throughout the centuries.

Stromstad is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
