Stromsund

Stromsund municipality is a municipality in Jamtland County, in northeastern Sweden where Stromsund is seat. The nearest larger city is Ostersund, the provincial capital of Jamtland, which is located approximately 100 kilometers to the south. Forest industry has traditionally been an important industry, but today tourism also has an important part. Like the rest of Jamtland, nature is what attracts visitors, with its blend of forests, mountains, lakes and rivers. The total area is of 10,567 square kilometers. The population is of 13,112 inhabitants and population density is of 1.2 square kilometers.
