Surahammar




Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Surahammar is a municipality in Vastmanland County, in central Sweden some 100 kilometer west of Stockholm. The municipality covers an area of 344.6 square kilometers and has three towns, Virsbo in the north, Ramnas in the middle, and in the south Surahammar, the municipal seat with 6,300 inhabitants. The municipality is located in the southern part of the mineral-rich Bergslagen region. The total population in 2004 was 10,200 inhabitants and the population density was 30 inhabitants per kilometer.

Surahammar is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
