Thesprotiko is a municipality in the Preveza Prefecture, Greece. The population of the Thesprotiko municipality was 5,474 in the year 2001. Greece, officially the Hellenic Republic, is a country in south eastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east.
 
Preveza is one of the prefectures of Greece. It is within the Epirus periphery. Its capital is the city Preveza. It was one of the prefectures that had any provinces. The only province is known as Nikopoli and Parga, Preveza is a non-provincial city. Preveza lies near the western part of the Ambracian Gulf.

Thesprotiko is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
