Traun

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Traun is a city in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. As of 2001, according to Statistics Austria, the population was 23,470. The city is located at latitude 48.21667, longitude 14.23333. Traun is 147 miles west of the national capital Vienna.

Austria is a federal republic made up of 9 states, known in German as Lander. Since Land is also the German word for country, the term Bundesländer is often used instead to avoid ambiguity. The Constitution of Austria uses both terms. In English, the term land is commonly rendered as both state and province.

Traun experiences a boom with day tourists, owing to the clear air, town character with rich culture, high quality of life and conspicuously original history. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people also combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in Europe.
