Triglia is a municipality in Chalcidice, Greece. According to the 2001 census, population was 5,888. The seat of the municipality is in Nea Triglia. Chalcidice or Halkidiki is one of the prefectures of Greece. It is located in the southeastern portion of Central Macedonia. The Cholomontas or the Cholomon mountains lie in the northcentral part. It consists of a large peninsula in the northwestern Aegean Sea, resembling a hand with three fingers Pallene, Sithonia, and Ayion Oros, which contains Athos.
 
Greece is a country in south-eastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east of mainland Greece, while the Ionian Sea lies to the west. Both parts of the eastern Mediterranean basin, feature a vast number of islands.

It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
