Veere

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Veere is one of the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destinations that is located in Europe. Veere is a municipality and a city in the southwestern Netherlands, on Walcheren in the province of Zeeland. The small city of Veere with a population of 1,520 as of 2001 is located on the Veerse Meer. It received city rights in 1355. Between 1541 and 1799, Veere was the staple port for Scotland. In the 17th and 18th century, Veere was a prosperous trading city. There were about 750 houses inside the city walls then, compared to about 300 now. It has an area of 207.03 square kilometers and a population of 22,006 as of 2005 with a density of 166 per square kilometers.

Zeeland, also called Zealand in English, is a province of the Netherlands. The province, located in the south-west of the country, consists of a number of islands and a strip bordering Belgium. Its capital is Middelburg. Its population is about 380,000 and its area is about 2930 square kilometers, of which almost 1140 square kilometers is occupied by water.

Veere, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited places. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origin back to prehistoric times.
