Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
Vellinge is one of the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destinations that is located in Europe. Vellinge is a Scanian town and the administrative center of the Swedish municipality. It is located immediately south of Malmo in southern Sweden. It was formerly called Rang municipality. The municipality is considered to be one of the most economically well-off in Sweden, politically governed by a stable majority of the economically liberal party Moderaterna. Due to its low taxes, Vellinge is mainly populated by middle class families, many commuting to Malmo. It has a population of 250,000.
There are four towns in the municipality with a population of over 1,000. All of them are best characterized as affluent suburbs within the metropolitan area of South-Western Scania. According to the local language usage, Hollviken, Ljunghusen, and Vellinge are not considered towns but rather denoted as villages. Skanor and Falsterbo, on the other hand, were important medieval towns.

Vellinge, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited places. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origin back to prehistoric times.
