Tuscany's Terme di Saturnia Spa Resort turns 50

Europe's renowned thermal spa -- Terme di Saturnia Spa Resort in Tuscany -- is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. The spa is famous for its ancient healing thermal waters and extensive medical spa program. The thermal pools at Saturnia are over 3,000 years old and still naturally rise in the area. Although 2006 is Terme di Saturnia's 50th anniversary, the waters of Saturnia have been used for thousands of years and were originally visited by the Romans for their healing qualities.

Today, Terme di Saturnia features a luxury resort built around an ancient thermal pool, a state-of-the art spa with 60 treatment rooms, 45 therapists and 5 medical doctors on staff, a replica of a traditional Roman bath house and an 18-hole golf course that will be completed by the end of 2006.

Terme di Saturnia will celebrate its anniversary this June with a large party and a special anniversary package.
