Apollonion

Apollonion is a municipality on the island of Lefkada, Greece. Its population is 3,235 was estimated in 2001. The seat of the municipality is in Vasiliki. The municipality in area makes it the island's and the prefecture's largest. Lefkada, or Leucas is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea, connected to the mainland by a long causeway and floating bridge, as well as the island's capital city. The city of Lefkada, is at the north of the island, approximately 20 minutes by automobile away from Preveza Airport. Lefkada Town population 10,000 has a pedestrianised main street, a marina, and bus access to Athens.
 
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Apollonion is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
