Chryso (Fokida), Greece

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Chryso older forms Hrysson is a village located in the western part of the municipality of Delphi in the northeastern part of the region of Phokida. It sits north of the ancient city of Krissa or Crissa in which the name the Crisean Gulf originates.

Crissa was one of the oldest cities in Ancient Greece and was founded according to Homer between the 15th before Christ and the 14th century before Christ. The area around Chryssa has mainly groves with a few pasture lands around Chrysso and much of the land is mountainous. The panorama includes the valley to the west which includes the Crisaean plain, mountains to the west, the south and the Parnassus to the north.

Chryso is the kind of town you daydream about. It is an attractive city with natural beauty and historical places, while traveling in Europe.
