Echt (Limburg)

Echt is one of the popular tourist attractions in Europe that is blessed with unique and marvelous surroundings. It is a city in the Dutch municipality of Echt-Susteren, situated in the province of Limburg, Netherlands. In the early days, Echt used to be a municipality by itself until it merged with the municipality of Susteren, an event that took place on 1st of January 2003. The former municipality of Echt had about 19.300 inhabitants and had an area of about 7,513 square kilometers.
Echt blends a prosperous past and thriving future. It also has several sights of interest. These sights of interest include Sint-Landricuskerk which is a Catholic church with a hall in gothic style. The town centre also has buildings in a wide range of styles that include neoclassical, modernist, noucentrista and simply eclectic.
