Esmoriz
Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, which is to the west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean, including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second smallest continent in terms of area and third largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
Esmoriz is a Portuguese city which is located about 25 kilometers to the south of Oporto. It belongs to the municipality of Ovar. In the year 2001, it had a population of 10,993. The total area is 9.05 square kilometer. Esmoriz was made a city in the year 1993. The density is 1,214.7 per square kilometer.
The city is divided into 3 main sectors known as the urban sector, the beach sector and the forest sector. The city is composed mainly by urban elements. The urban sector has mostly middle to upper middle class people and the most regular house types are apartments, which are usually, 3 stories high. Small businesses are common, like the Marijol markets which are located in several locations all over the city. The only large commercial infrastructure is the Intermarche. Several bookstores and informatics shops are available, with the occasional barber shop and fashion parlor available. Despite the urbanized theme that characterizes it, several green spaces are spread throughout the city.
The city has a gymnasium which is owned and maintained by the local volleyboll team, Esmoriz Ginasio Clube, who are majorly sponsored by Aerosoles. They have classes of volleyball, taekwondo, tennis and gymnastics. It provides services of a health club, physiotherapy and muscultion. It also has a restaurant. The local football club is Sporting Clube de Esmoriz, which plays in the national second league with its senior team and provides several formation levels for young amateur football players.
As Esmoriz, is often regarded as among the most beautiful parts of Europe, it is one of the most visited places amongst the most die hard travelers the world over.
