Flen is a Municipality in Sodermanland County, in Svealand, Sweden. Its seat is located in Flen. The Kingdom of Sweden is a Nordic country in Scandinavia. It is bordered by Norway in the west, Finland in the northeast, the Skagerrak Strait and the Kattegat Strait in the southwest, and the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia in the east. It is connected to Denmark in the southwest by the Oresund Bridge. The municipality is located in a typical Sormlandish area of lakes and streams. The population of the Flen was 16,534 in the year 2005 with an area of 722 square kilometers.

Flen surpasses as a tourism attraction due to its two annual markets. The traditions of markets in Malmkoping go back centuries, as Malmkoping got market town rights already in 1785.  A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Flenis one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
