Gnosjo

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Gnosjo is a Municipality in Jonkoping County, in southern Sweden where the town Gnosjo is seat. About half of the municipal population lives in the seat, the rest is spread between small towns on the country side. The population of the city was 4,500.

Gnosjo is referred to as the centre of the Gnosjoregion which is an area of enterprising small industries that are highly successful, driven by the distinctive Gnosjo Spirit. Gnosjo had some industries at the advent of the last century. One may suspect something notable about the region already at that stage. Despite its small size of some 1,100 people in 1907, it had been the subject of a book describing its customs and locals in 1906 in F. J. E. Enestrom's Gnosjoboarna, deras hemslojd, and seder och lefnadssatt.

The small town never received a charter. A coat of arms was therefore not needed until the Swedish Municipal reform was carried out in the 1970s and then these wheels were selected as fitting.

Various small industries dominate the landscape. Here is a small but nationally renowned amusement park called High Chaparral offering Wild West experiences. And there is a museum of the industrial history, in this case a mmechanical work shop. But the nature is also appealing and offers good possibilities for wildlife, canoeing, fishing, hiking, etc. The Store mosse is a nature reserve consisting of the largest boggy ground north of Laplandia. It hosts several different plants and animals, and guided tours are regularly given during the summer.

Gnosjo Municipality has a high concentration of immigrants. Gnosjo Municipality has up to 40 percent immigrants. Gnosjo is said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. It enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers.
