Kilkis

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains.

Kilkis is an exclusive tourist destination located in Europe. It is a small provincial city in Central Macedonia suburb of Greece. The city covers a total land area of 306.6 square kilometers. As of 2001 the city listed a total population of 17,430 inhabitants living within the city and a total of 24,812 inhabitants living in the administrative area of the municipality of Kilkis. Kilkis is also the capital city of the prefecture of Kilkis and the capital of one of the two local provinces of its prefecture.

Presently, Kilkis experiences a boom with day tourists, owing to the clear air, marvelous surroundings and mountain views. Because of the high quality of life locally, the population is growing faster than other parts of Europe. Even though Kilkis meant the partial loss of its tourist profile due to urbanization, some features of its past times of splendor still remain, with hotels and hostelries that are swarmed by thousands of visitors each year.
