Gonia
Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
Gonia is a picturesque village in the Rethymno Prefecture in Crete, Greece. Gonia is the seat of the municipality Nikeforos Fokas. Rethymno is a prefecture in the island of Crete. Its capital is the city of Rethymno. Today its main income is tourism. The countryside of the prefecture is also based economically on agriculture and herding. The village of Anogia is reported to have the highest fertility rate of the European Union. Three other notable towns in the Rethymno prefecture are Plakias, Spili and Agia Galini.
Greece is a country in south-eastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east of mainland Greece, while the Ionian Sea lies to the west. Both parts of the eastern Mediterranean basin, feature a vast number of islands.
