Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Knivsta is a Swedish municipality in Uppsala County, in central Sweden. Of the total population of 12,586 in that 6,317 are male, and 6,269 are female. Its seat is in Knivsta, with 7,100 inhabitants. On January 1, 2003 Knivsta was separated from Uppsala to once again form a separate municipality, located in Uppsala County. The coat of arms symbolise the Stones of Mora where, in ancient times, the Swedish Kings were elected.
