Mora




Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
 
Mora is a municipality in Dalarna County, in central Sweden. Its seat is in Mora. The town is located on the northern shore of lake Siljan. The northern part of the municipality marks the beginning of the Scandinavian mountain range. The house where Swedish painter Anders Zorn was born in 1860 is in Mora and has been turned into a museum.
 
Mora is also known as the end of the Vasaloppet, an enduring 90 kilometers long skiing event, with more than 15,000 annual participants. This has been made in honour of the King Gustav Vasa in the 16th century, who was held to have skiid between Mora and the town Sälen while escaping from Danes. Its total area is of 2,828 square kilometers with population of 20,083 was recorded in 2005 and density 79 square kilometers inhabitants.
