Krinides

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea.

Krinides is an exclusive tourist destination located in Europe. Also known as Crenides, Krinides is a town and an ancient site that comprises the archaeological site of Philippi in the Kavala prefecture of eastern Macedonia. Krinides is also the seat of the municipality of Filippoi south of the Pangaion hills. The Lekani Mountains dominate most of the municipality whereas the farmlands and Philippi-Drama plain dominate northwest part.

Recent investments attracted by the climate, soil, and altitude combination have transformed the Krinides area, making it one of the most important regions. Even though Krinides meant the partial loss of its tourist profile due to urbanization, some features of its past times of splendor still remain, with hotels and hostelries that are swarmed by thousands of visitors each year.
