Krokom

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea.

Krokom is one of the exclusive tourist destinations located in Europe. It is a municipality in Jamtland County of Sweden. The municipality covers a total land area of 6210.8 square kilometers. Presently, Krokom lists a total population of 14,154 inhabitants amongst which 7,254 are male, and 6,900 are female. The population density of the community is 2 inhabitants per square kilometer.

The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make Krokom region one of the most important touristic attractions in Jamtland County. Krokom is also well known for its traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages. There is also a range of basic accommodation in the town and several quite reasonable cafes and bars.

Recent investments attracted by the climate, soil, and altitude combination have transformed the Krokom area, making it one of the most important regions. Even though Krokom meant the partial loss of its tourist profile due to urbanization, some features of its past times of splendor still remain, with hotels and hostelries that are swarmed by thousands of visitors each year.
