Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Laxa Municipality is a municipality, in Orebro County, in central Sweden. Its seat is in Laxa. It had a population of 6267 inhabitants in 2003 living within an area of 605 square kilometers. The history of Laxa stretches back to the 12th century, when a convent Ramundeboda was founded about 4 kilometers west of the town. The modern town was founded in the mid-19th century when the main line railway between Gothenburg and Stockholm Vastra Stambanan was built in 1883. Laxa is situated exactly 226 kilometers from both those cities.In the vicinity of the town Laxa lays the Porla Well. It iron rich water made it a popular spa between 1724 until 1939. Although not a spa, its water is sold in bottles with the brand Porlavatten and have been distributed nationwide since the 1920s.Geographically, the Tiveden National Park is partly situated within the municipality. Orebro County, or Orebro lan, is a county or lan in central Sweden. It borders the counties of Vastra Gotaland, Varmland, Dalarna, Vastmanland, Sodermanland and Ostergotland.
 
The Kingdom of Sweden is a Nordic country in Scandinavia. It is bordered by Norway in the west, Finland in the northeast, the Skagerrak Strait and the Kattegat Strait in the southwest, and the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia in the east. It is connected to Denmark in the southwest by the Oresund Bridge. The country has large natural resources of water, timber, and iron ore.
