Malung

Malung municipality is a municipality in Dalarna County in central Sweden. Its seat is in the town Malung with 6,000 inhabitants. The total area is of 4,105 square kilometer. The total population of Malung is of 10,557 and density is of is 2.5 square kilometers.
 
The terrain in the area is largely submontane, with plenty of bog and forest. The transtrandsfjallen in the north are the southernmost mountains in Sweden, marking the start of the Scandinavian mountain range. Rocks are mostly metamorphic and sedimentary, with occurrences of basalt. Most settlements are located in and around the valley of Vasterdalalven.

Malung has a Folk high school, specialized in folk music and folk dance. One notable former music student is Emma Hardelin. The Kingdom of Sweden is a Nordic country in Scandinavia. It is bordered by Norway in the west, Finland in the northeast, the Skagerrak Strait and the Kattegat Strait in the southwest, and the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia in the east. It is connected to Denmark in the southwest by the Oresund Bridge. Malung is the kind of town you daydream about.
