Orust
Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. Orust is a municipality in western Sweden. It includes Sweden's third largest island Orust and some other small adjacent islets. It is situated in the province of Bohuslan, and administratively it belongs to Vastra Gotaland County. The municipal seat is in the town Henan, with an approximate population of 1,800.
Historically, the area has been inhabited for thousands of years, as evident by ancient remains such as tombs, grave fields and rock carvings. From the Viking Age, runestones are plenty. In the Nordisk familjebok the island of Orust is mentioned as a Geatish territory.
Orust can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
