Gallivare is a Swedish municipality in Norrbotten County, in northern Sweden. Its seat is in the town Gallivare with 8,400 inhabitants. Gallivare is situated at the northern end of the Inlandsbanan railway line, just about 100 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. It had total population of 5,500. The third largest municipal town is Koskullskulle with 1,000 inhabitants.

Gallivare is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
