Tierp is a municipality in Uppsala County, in east central Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 1543.0 square kilometers. Of the total population of 19888 in that 9980 are male, and 9908 are female. The population density of the community is 13 inhabitants per square kilometers.

Uppsala County or Uppsala is a County on the eastern coast of Sweden. It borders to the counties of Stockholm, Sodermanland, Vastmanland, Gavleborg, and to the Baltic Sea.
