Vallentuna

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Vallentuna Municipality is a Swedish municipality in Stockholm County, in central Sweden. Of the municipal population, 24,000 live in the town Vallentuna. The town has an ancient history and Vallentuna is an Old Swedish word. It later came to form the Vallentuna Hundred. The current municipality was established as a result of the municipal reform in 1971. Its coat of arms depicts an eagle, a broad axe and two stars.

The geography is still dominated by nature and agriculture and some lakes and streams, besides the urban areas. Many houses are one family houses.

Vallentuna has been expanding in recent years, and is one of the municipalities of the county that grows fastest every year, with more than 2 percent yearly, and has now doubled since 1971. Many people settle in Vallentuna because it is close to nature, and yet allows then to commute to their work places, both in Stockholm City and elsewhere. In total, about 9,000 people commute from Vallentuna to other municipalities, while about 2,000 people commute into Vallentuna.

Vallentuna is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in Europe worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place leaves a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justifies the proud cultural tradition of Europe.
