Afetes




Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
 
Afetes is a city in the Magnesia region, Greece. In 2001, the population of the city was   1,838. The seat of the municipality is in Neochori. Magnesia deriving from the Macedonian tribe name Magnetes is the name of the southeastern area of Thessaly in central Greece. The modern prefecture was created in 1947 out of the Larissa prefecture. Much of the population lives near the Pagasetic Gulf and in the eastern part.
 
Greece, officially the Hellenic Republic, is a country in south-eastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east of mainland Greece while the Ionian Sea lies to the west. Both parts of the eastern Mediterranean basin feature a vast number of islands.
