Almhult
Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Almhult Municipality is a Municipality in central Kronoberg County, in southern Sweden, where the town of Almhult. The population recorded in 2005 was 15,421, area is 895 square kilometers and density is 17.22 per square kilometers. The historical significance is that the world renowned botanist Carl von Linne was born and grew up in the parish of Stenbrohult in the early 18th century.
Today, the estate where he was born and lived his first months has been turned into a museum at Rashult, still surrounded by the same meadows and fields it was 300 years ago. Allegedly, the area has a variety of different speciments of plants, likely to trigger the interest of a botanical minded youngster. Almhult is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
