Andritsaina
Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
Andritsaina, also called Andritsena is a community and a municipality located in the southeastern part of the Ilia Prefecture in the middle of a highway. The population went to low as 575. The community has a school, a gymnasium, a church, a library and a with a statue and a tree which runs near the main highway. The area west of Andritsaina is mainly grassy and bushy. Pine trees are founded in the east, south and north. It has about three mountaintops and north of Andritsaina is the Alfeios River. The road to Epicurium and Figaleia is about 500 meters west.
The road in the town is narrow with only one lane from the circle to the eastern part of the village. It is also the seat of the province of Olympia. It is at a distance of 45 kilometers from Krestena around Southeast and 62 kilometers Southeast of Pyrgos, about 25 kilometers Southwest of Karytaina and about 280 kilometers Southwest of Athens, 45 kilometers Northwest of Megalopoli and Northeast of Figaleia, Epicurium and Vasses. The prefecture of Arcadia is bounded to the north and east. The area in ancient times used to be in Arcadia.
Presently, Andritsaina experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of Europe.
