Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
 
Antigonides is a municipality in the Imathia Prefecture, Greece. Its total population is 5,360 was estimated in 2001. The seat of the municipality is in Kavasila. Imathia is one of the prefectures of Greece. It is located in the west-central part of Greek Macedonia. The prefecture is bounded with Pieria to the south, Kozani to the west, Pella to the north and Thessaloniki to the east. The delta of the Aliakmon which is the shortest boundary with the coastling with the Thermaic Gulf to the east.

Its geography include mountains are parts of Pierian Mountains to the southeast and the Vermio mountains to the west. Much of the area are the valley areas. The longest river is the Aliakmon River which flows to the south and east. The reservoir is partially bounded with Kozani. Its climate is mainly of Mediterranean climate with hot summers and cold winters. In most of the central part and the western part receives winter weather especially in the hills and the Vermio mountains.

A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Antigonides is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
