Elafina

Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea.

Elafina is an exclusive tourist destination located in Europe. It is a municipality in the Pieria suburb of Greece and had a total population of 5,213 inhabitants as of 2001 census. The seat of the municipality is in Palaio Keramidi. Elafina is well known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages.

Pieria is one of the prefectures of Greece located in the southern part of Greek Macedonia. The capital of the town is Katerini. Pieria is the smallest prefecture within Greek Macedonia. The name Pieria originates from the ancient tribe and the ancient country of Pieris.

Like some of its sister cities and towns, Elafina is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of the mountains, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important touristic attractions in Europe.
