Helmond  is a municipality and a city in the southern Netherlands. It has the total area of 54.56 square kilometers, land of 53.20 square kilometers and water is of 1.36 square kilometers. As per 2005 it had a population of 85,675 and density of 1,610 square kilometers.
First settlements in the area were around 1000 and Helmond was granted city rights in approximately 1232. Helmond is host to the professional football team of Helmond Sport. Helmond can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
