Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second smallest continent in terms of area and third largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
Farciennes is a city located in the Belgian province of Hainaut. In 2001, the population of the city was 11,099 and an area of 10.39 square kilometers. It is located on the entre Sambre et Meuse in the periphery of Charleroi. The Kingdom of Belgium is a country in northwest Europe bordered by the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and France and is one of the founding and core members of the European Union.
In the past, Farciennes was an industrial city. Since the merger of the communes of 1977, the small community of Pironchamps was integrated into Farciennes. The districts of Wainage, Wairchat and Tergnee were and still are part of the territory of Farciennes.

Farciennes is the kind of town you daydream about. It is an attractive city with natural beauty and historical places, while traveling in Europe.
