Kiruna Municipality is a Swedish municipality in Norrbotten County in northern Sweden. Its seat is in the town Kiruna, with 19,000 inhabitants. Kiruna is the northernmost municipality in Sweden, and with 19,446.8 square kilometers is Sweden's geographically largest being as large as the combined area of Sweden’s three southernmost provinces includes Skane, Blekinge and Halland. It had population of 23,254 in 2005 is 105th of 290 and Density is 1.2 per square kilometers. The Municipalities of Sweden represent the local level of self government in Sweden. The current 290 municipalities form sub-divisions to the 21 Counties of Sweden.
 
Kiruna, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origin back to prehistoric times.
