Nea Smyrni is a suburb south of Athens, Greece. Nea Smyrni is located about 5 kilometers southwest of downtown Athens, about 5 kilometers southwest of Kifissias Avenue, west of Vouliagmenis Avenue, about 6 kilometers east of Piraeus, and north east of Poseidonos Avenue. It had population of 73,986 was recorded in 2001. The total area is of 3.52 square kilometers with population density of 20,995 per square kilometers inhabitants.
