Kymi




Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.
 
Kymi is one of Europe most popular destinations, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments that the city has embraced. Kymi is the name of two ancient Greek cities. One is Kyme in Euboea, Greece. The modern town Kymi on the same location has a current population of 8,772 as of 2001. The Bronze age settlement at Kymi has been excavated nearby at Mourteri. In the Iron Age, Kyme was among the earliest sources of Greek colonizations, establishing the homonymous colony of Cumae in southern Italy.
 
Its area is 131,990 square kilometers with a population of 11,244,118 as of 2005 census with a density of 84 per square kilometers. Greece was growing economically, whilst becoming politically more liberal. In 1877, Prime Minister Charilaos Trikoupis curbed the power of the monarchy to interfere in the Assembly. This period was punctuated by the undertaking of one of the largest construction initiatives in Europe. As a result of the Balkan Wars of 1912-13, Crete, Chios, Samos, most of Epirus and southern Macedonia, including Thessaloniki, were incorporated into Greece.

Kymi is also said to be as the town of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and pursue enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace.
