Perstorp is a municipality in Skane in southern Sweden where the Scanian town Perstorp is seat and only town. The name Perstorp is perhaps most known in the company Perstorp AB, based in the municipality, employing 1,800 people worldwide. They are producing chemicals market and materials technology. They are also known for a subsidiary called Perstorp Flooring, producing laminate and plastic floor material. Its area is 160 kilometer square and had a population of 6,893 in 2005 and population density is 43 per square kilometer.
