Sandviken is a municipality in Gavleborg County, in east central Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 1164.7 square kilometers and has population of 37064. Gavleborg County is a County on the Baltic Sea coast of Sweden. It borders to the counties of Uppsala, Vastmanland, Dalarna, Jamtland and Vasternorrland. Gavleborg County is divided upon the provinces of Gastrikland and Halsingland. Gavleborg County was established in 1762 when it was separated from Vasternorrland County.

The Kingdom of Sweden is a Nordic country in Scandinavia. It is bordered by Norway in the west, Finland in the northeast, the Skagerrak Strait and the Kattegat Strait in the southwest, and the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia in the east. It is connected to Denmark in the southwest by the Oresund Bridge. The country has huge natural resources of water, timber and iron ore.
