Upplands-Bro




Europe is one of the five inhabited traditional continents of the Earth. Physically and geologically, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, west of Asia. Europe is bounded to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, Europe is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains and by the Caspian Sea. Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area and third-largest continent after Asia and Africa in population.

Upplands-Bro is a Swedish municipality north-west of Stockholm in central Sweden. It covers an area of 328,0 square kilometers, where of 236.2 square kilometers is land. The municipal seat is located in Kungsangen. According to the 2005 census, population was 21,348, and density is 90 per square kilometers.
 
Geographically it is situated by lake Malaren it is distinguished by its nature. The overwhelming majority of the population is located to one of the three towns Kungsangen,  Bro and Brunna, and most of the remaining area is taken up by countryside, a substantial part of it being agricultural. On the northern, western and eastern sides of the municipality the bay Roslagen stretches, while the southern side borders to lake Mälaren. In total, it has about 120 kilometers of shores. Many islets in Malaren also belong to Upplands-Bro.
 
As apparent by its coat of arms, Upplands-Bro takes pride in its pre-historic history, and boasts some of the oldest ancient remains in Sweden. From the Iron Age, about 4,000 burial places have been found, and the remains from the Viking Age include 20 rune stones. Every one of the six parishes also hosts a medieval church, built in 1100 to 1400.

Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace. Upplands-Bro enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers.
